Thierry Voi
rol was born in Bienne (Switzerland) in 1967.
From 1984 to 1989, Thierry Voirol study to become a teacher at the Teacher training school of Biel-Bienne. The study of art and the great painters, as well as artistic creation in general which formed an integral part of his formation, contributed to wake up his curiosity, his interest as well as his passion and natural skills for drawing. Ever since he graduated, Thierry Voirol never stopped using his luggage of knowledge, putting into practice the various acquired techniques.
As an autodidact, the artist has discovered and exploited the airbrush technique of painting, worked in graphics with the creation of logos as well as illustrations on textile, while improving in parallel the field of painting, mainly acrylic and oils on fabric.
Passionate by artistic creation in all its forms and in all its diversity, Thierry Voirol finds his inspiration by observing the world that surrounds him, and in his imagination. In spite of a pallet of styles and subjects very diversified, a recurring topic clearly appears, that of the human being travelling in space and time, alone face to face with itself or among its similar.
